Jiaogulan (part 1) – Vasodilatory Benefits
Our best selling tea is our Jiaogulan and with good reason. Our organic Jiaogulan tastes great and lots of you drink it for the taste alone. But in addition to the great taste, there are few, if any, herbs that offer more health benefits than Jiaogulan. It’s no wonder the Chinese often call it Xiancao, The Immortality Herb.
Today I want to talk about Increased Blood Flow. Jiaogulan naturally stimulates the body to produce more nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to expand. This effect has numerous beneficial results.
1. Expanded blood vessels reduce blood pressure so it’s great for people with hypertension.
2. It is also reduces the risks from arteriosclerosis including reduced heart attack risk.
3. Increased blood flow also helps the brain work better, improving memory, providing better sleep and improving mentation.
4. Athletes looking for an extra energy boost will also benefit from the increased blood flow as more oxygen is delivered to tired muscles.
I’m just getting started with the health benefits of Jiaogulan.
Next time, I’ll talk about the adaptogenic benefits.
