Ming Mei Imperial Green Tea
Our Imperial Grade Ming Mei Green Tea is a tea rich in tradition and history. It is a tea that deserves to be far better known. Originating from Wu Yuan province the “hometown” of Chinese green teas, this green tea has been grown and prepared in the same way for literally hundreds of years. Its name translates as “eye brow tea” reflecting the characteristic long thin curved shape.
This tea was hailed as the top green tea in China as far back as the Tang Dynasty and was classed as a royal tribute tea in the Ming Dynasty. Its reputation for excellence continues today and it was recently awarded the gold medal at the Kunming International Horticulture Exhibit.
The tea itself is curly and covered in fine hair. There is a pleasant aroma of roasted chestnuts and hay. The taste of the tea is sweet and crisp. The bitterness common in many green teas is completely absent in this tea, no mater how long your brew it.
This is a phenomenal green tea. Discover it today!
